The serious small kiln

The Top 16/R is the smallest electric kiln Nabertherm makes with the full AC590 touch controller. It's designed for small-scale work — jewellery firing, fused glass, test tiles, porcelain miniatures — but it's built to the same spec as the bigger Top-series kilns, so you're not compromising on controller, insulation or reliability.

It plugs into a standard 13A UK socket (the same as a kettle), draws 2.6 kW, and weighs just 32 kg — genuinely portable if you move between workshops or take it to fairs. The chamber is 290mm ø × 230mm H, which fits a surprising amount of small work.

For hobbyists, glass fusers and jewellers who want a professional-grade controller without the size or electrical complexity of a full-size kiln, this is the smartest pick.
